This position requires access to EAR or ITAR controlled technologies. Applicants are required to be eligible for employment under U.S. export control laws and must meet the requirement of being a “U.S. Citizen”.

Job Story
The Advanced Materials Research group is looking for an engineering (or related field) student with interest in additive manufacturing (metallic and polymer), high-temperature composite materials, or software development and databasing to join their team.

Job Summary
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technical tasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the student assistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other students or provide support throughout the campus in various forms.

Job Duties
This position will focus on supporting all aspects of applied research for various government and industry customers. Projects are focused on characterization and qualification of these materials and processes, as well as integration into cutting-edge applications. This position will be based in Wichita, KS and will see you work closely with engineers at NIAR to support our growing government and industry customer base. Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Requirements
Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.
Ability to work well in a team environment and effectively communicate ideas and solutions.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position.
Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators.
Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information.
